KEY FEATURES

Our battered smelt is prepared from medium sized Lake Erie smelt, but are still small enough that all the bones will dissolve when the fish is cooked.   The smelt are first dusted with a fine breading to provide a substrate for the batter to adhere to and are then coated with our specially formulated batter to give the finished product a home style appearance and taste.


INGREDIENTS

Lake Smelt, Wheat Flour, Corn Flour, Soybean Oil, Salt, Corn Meal Corn Starch, Non-Fat Milk Solids, Herbs, Spices, Onion Powder, Leavening (Contains Baking Soda, Mono-Calcium Phosphate) and Extractives of Paprika as a natural color and flavor.


PREPARATION GUIDELINES

Cook frozen. For best results, deep fry 3-4 minutes at 350 degrees.
