Even those who “don’t like fish” can appreciate the sweet, light flavor of Whitefish. Its delicate texture is unique among freshwater fish. This low cost, high quality fish is loaded with protein, Omega 3’s plus vitamins and minerals! From Lake Huron and Lake Superior.
Trout fillets break into neat flakes and have an herbaceous flavor. With only 131 calories and less than one gram of saturated fat per serving this fish manages to pack in 18.4 grams of protein and 1.1 grams of Omega 3′s, making it an excellent nutritional choice. At Weyand’s we source our farmed Ontario Rainbow Trout from Cole-Munro Food Group Incorporated. this company obtains fish farmed in the Georgian Bay area, a 15,000 square kilometer plus area just 2 hours from Toronto. Because of this suppliers closeness to the farmers and their state of the art equipment and practices they are able to provide a consistent and high quality supply of low fat, high nutrient fish.
Atlantic Salmon is one of the best sources of Omega-3 fatty acids you can get! Because Omega 3’s are essential for a healthy heart, skin, joints and neurological development (especially in children) the American Heart Association’s (AHA) dietary guidelines recommend that adults eat at least two servings of fish high in Omega-3 fatty acids per week. Atlantic salmon account for over 95 percent of the ocean-farmed salmon produced, with most of them raised in ocean farms on the Pacific coast of Canada and Chile.

For eighty years, our mission at Weyands has been to serve our local community quality seafood at affordable prices. It all started in 1930 with Jack Weyand, our founder and namesake, who envisioned a market right on the Detroit River with a specialty in Michigan’s own Lake Fish. Today, Jack’s legacy lives on as we have stayed true to our roots as a family owned and operated business.
Nestled on the banks of the Detroit River, at 471 Biddle Avenue, we are all about the community we serve. Our seafood comes from all over the world, and right here in Michigan’s beautiful Great Lakes! We receive shipments daily to ensure that you get the freshest fish possible.

His knowledge of seafood is unsurpassed, and he is a mighty fine cook himself. His expertise of sourcing the best quality seafood at a value passed on to you the customer is David's goal. He has built a knowledgeable and friendly staff to help service you, as you prepare seafood for your family and friends.
